This Cookie Policy explains how Kroc Ads (“Kroc Ads”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on krocads.com (the “Site”), and, in a limited way, when our ads are delivered through our publisher network.
“Cookies” in this Policy refers to cookies and any other similar automated means of data collection (e.g. local storage, pixels). By visiting or using the Site, you agree to the use of cookies as explained below, subject to any consent choices you make via our cookie banner/dashboard.
This Cookie Policy does not replace our Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policy — please read those for full details on how we handle your data and your rights. We can’t control cookies placed by publisher websites themselves; if you’re visiting one of the publishers in our network, their own cookie/privacy policy governs cookies they set independently of us.

1. What Are Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites function properly, remember your preferences, and understand how a site is used.
Cookies are passive — they don’t contain executable code, viruses, or spyware, and can’t access other files on your device. Depending on the type, a cookie may be read again by the site that set it the next time you visit.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
By lifespan:
- Session cookies — temporary, deleted automatically when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period, until they expire or you delete them.
By role:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site and your account to work (e.g. keeping you signed in). Without these, core features like logging in or managing your Campaigns won’t work.
- Performance/analytics cookies — help us understand how the Site is used (e.g. via Google Analytics), so we can improve it.
- Ad delivery & performance cookies — used only when your Campaign’s ad is shown on a publisher’s website in our network, to count impressions/clicks accurately and detect invalid traffic. We do not use these cookies to build cross-site behavioral or interest-based advertising profiles of the people viewing your ads.
By source:
- First-party cookies — set by krocads.com itself.
- Third-party cookies — set by a domain other than the one you’re visiting (e.g. Google Analytics’ cookie on our Site, or Kroc Ads’ own ad-delivery cookie set on a publisher’s page).

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use krocads.com.

3.3 Ad Delivery & Performance Cookies
When a Campaign you’ve created is displayed on a publisher’s website in our delivery network, we may set a first-party cookie (on our own ad-serving domain) to:
- avoid counting the same impression or click more than once in a session, and
- help detect invalid, bot, or fraudulent traffic.

This cookie does not track browsing activity beyond what’s needed for accurate delivery/performance measurement, and is not used to build advertising profiles.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
- Cookie dashboard: where legally required, you can manage your consent for non-essential cookies (e.g. analytics) via the cookie banner/dashboard on krocads.com.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies via their Settings/Preferences menu. Check your browser’s Help section for instructions. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Site.
- Google Analytics opt-out: you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics across all sites.
Since Kroc Ads doesn’t use interest-based/behavioral advertising cookies, there’s no separate ad-targeting opt-out to manage — disabling non-essential cookies via the methods above covers everything optional that we use.

6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we add a new analytics tool or change how our ad-delivery cookie works. Updates will be published on the Site, and where a change requires your renewed consent under applicable law, we’ll ask for it via our cookie dashboard. Continuing to use the Site after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
